Kenya national museum started in 1910 at the present Nyayo house under the East Africa and Uganda natural history society they used the museum to keep their collections of various specimens the museum was later shifted in 1922 to Nairobi Serena hotel stands today,  in 1922 a colonial government constructed the museum for which it took them 8 years to finish later the museum was opened in 1930 September 22nd, the kind of artwork and materials used shows the 4 pillars of Kenya national heritage nature, culture, history and contemporary
